Fünf Jahre lang streift die Regisseurin Malaury Eloi Paisley durch diese labyrinthartige Stadt und filmt ihre Beziehungen zu den Einwohner:innen. Durch ihre Augen erkundet sie das kollektive Gedächtnis eines Gebiets, in dem die Zeit still zu stehen scheint. L’HOMME VERTIGE: TALES OF A CITY feierte seine Weltpremiere auf dem Forum der Berlinale 2024 und gewann den Étalon d’or de Yennenga documentaire beim FESPACO 2025.

At the heart of this upheaval, residents tell the story of Guadeloupe and the inertia of this island. For five years, director Malaury Eloi Paisley roamed this labyrinthine city and filmed her relationships with its inhabitants. Through their eyes, she explores the collective memory of an area where time seems to stand still. L’HOMME-VERTIGE: TALES OF A CITY celebrated its world premiere at the Forum of the Berlinale 2024 and won the Étalon d’or de Yennenga documentaire at FESPACO 2025.
