With a striking lineup of cello, acoustic guitar and drums/electronics, maTrigal blurs the boundaries between a chamber ensemble and contemporary band. Their sound merges jazz, electronic, world and contemporary classical elements into intricate harmonies, driving beats, and complex polyrhythms. It's music that is both danceable and concertante. Formed at HMT Rostock, Gottfried Tadashi Forck, Raphael Gamper, and Maximilian Wolfgang Schwarz combine their diverse musical roots to craft a singular sonic language. After touring Germany, Austria, France, and Italy, maTrigal is now completing their debut album, due in early 2026.
