Moin! Offline Hangouts are about hanging-out, offline.

So I just pay to get my phone taken away?

Our relationship with our phones can quickly get… toxic.

That’s ok. Let’s create a community that does it differently. And let’s make that the norm 🙂

Offline Hangouts are not a workshop nor a sharing-circle.

They are community spaces where we come together… offline… to just be. With ourselves as well as with each other.

No notifications. No extra information. No fomo.

Just a room full of humans, books, journals, artsy equipment, board games, atmospheric music, introspective silence and scattered conversations.

We get-together to get: inspired, relaxed, creative, authentic, connected… sometimes even bored!

We get-together to get real, whatever that means! (I guess that’s what we are trying to figure out).

Offline Hangouts happen in cozy cafes, hipster bars, kölner Kneipe, libraries, parks, ateliers, this-place-you-were-at-once ... they can be brought to life literally anywhere!

Where will this one be?

At the atmospheric Armer Ritter Cafe Bar. 

And when?!

On Friday the 24th of October, between 19.00 and 22.00 (with the option of extending our stay up until 00.00, if the vibes keep vibing).

The Program

• ​19:00 - 19:30 | Walk-in

• ​19:30- 20:30 | Connect with yourself

• ​20:30 - 21:30 | Connect with others

• ​21:30 - 22:00 | Round-up & soft closing (...if the vibes keep vibing, we are allowed to extend our stay in the venue until 24.00).

​…Connect with yourself…

​Sit back and recharge by reading a book, drawing, journaling… or just laying back and letting your thoughts flow. Don't worry, we'll play some tunes to make the silence feel less awkward. You are warmly invited to bring your own books, journals, art projects, thoughts, etc. and there will also be books, paper & creative supplies available.

​…Connect with others…

​Socialize with friends or strangers (but only if you feel like it!). This is the time to meet others, have conversations, discuss books, share ideas, play smart or just play games.

​…Round-up & soft closing…

​Enjoy the last sips of your drink, land your conversations and (manually) exchange contact details with the cool, new humans you connected with.

​The Hangout left you energized and inspired to keep spreading that offline energy in the city? For our night owls, we will prepare a lovingly curated list of activities happening after the Hangout... as a little inspiration 🦉

​About your phone: Your phone will rest in our phone hotel, and we’ll be its body guards. But just so you know, if it magically disappears, learns to fly, or mysteriously breaks… The Offline Club can’t be held responsible.

​In case of trust issues - you can also choose to turn it off and keep it hidden away, out of sight!
