Wir eröffnen das Whorehouse Theatre - eine mitreißende, politische, lustige, spicy Show, die dazu einlädt, sich mit den Erfahrungen und Perspektiven von S*xarbeiter*innen auseinanderzusetzen. Irgendwo zwischen Theater, Cabaret, Striptease und politischen Kämpfen zeigen die S*xworkers of Cologne ihre ganz individuellen Perspektiven auf ihren Beruf und Arbeitsalltag, hinterfragen Machtverhältnisse in intimen wie gesellschaftlichen Kontexten, dekonstruieren normative Rollenzuschreibungen und thematisieren die anhaltende Stigmatisierung von S*xarbeit. Dabei wird S*xarbeit nicht als Objekt äußerer Zuschreibungen, sondern als selbstbestimmte, vielfältige Praxis ins Zentrum einer feministischen und emanzipatorischen Auseinandersetzung gerückt. Die Show versteht sich als künstlerisch-politischer Beitrag, der Intimität als gesellschaftlich relevante Kategorie sichtbar macht und deutlich die Botschaft formuliert: Intimität ist politisch, S*xarbeit ist politisch – und diese Performance transformiert beides in eine Form erotischen Aktivismus.

We are opening the Whor3house Theater—a thrilling, political, funny, spicy show that invites you to explore the experiences and perspectives of s3x workers. Somewhere between theater, cabaret, striptease, and political struggle, the S3xworkers of Cologne Collective (sw_of_cgn) present their individual perspectives on their profession and everyday working lives, question power relations in intimate and social contexts, deconstruct normative role attributions, and address the ongoing stigmatization of s3x work. S3x work is not presented as an object of external attributions, but as a self-determined, diverse practice at the center of a feminist and emancipatory debate. The show sees itself as an artistic-political contribution that makes intimacy visible as a socially relevant category and clearly formulates the message: Intimacy is political, s3x work is political – and this performance transforms both into a form of erotic activism.
