For many migrant self-employed people in the tech sector, solo self-employment in Germany often offers a viable alternative to the difficult path to dependent employment. The conference therefore also asks: What specific challenges are there – and how can shared experiences help to break out of isolation? What opportunities are there for migrant women in particular?
Sana Naz, a self-employed UI/UX designer and tech expert who recently moved to Cologne, will discuss her findings together with the participants, who in turn will be able to talk about their challenges. The Women in Tech e.V. network aims to empower women in the tech sector and can be an important interface for migrant women to move from isolation to collective cooperation. Software developer Anette Davids will present the association. Free registration: https://gstoo.de/JahrestagungHDS
