Berlin NewGen Film Festival is dedicated to discovering and supporting the emerging filmmakers who are shaping the future of Asian cinema. We promote independent and innovative film practices, showcasing the richness, diversity, and dynamism of Asian cultures and societies.

Since 2022, NewGen has held three successful festivals in Berlin and organized special screenings in other European cities like Amsterdam and Paris. In collaboration with the Hong Kong Internatioal Film Festival, NewGen has brought "Making Waves: Navigators of Hong Kong Cinema" to Berlin.
