Internationales Treffen für Figurentheater & Showcase

2025 kommt das Festival FIGURE IT OUT! der Allianz internationaler Produktionszentren für Figurentheater endlich zurück nach Leipzig! Nach einer Ausgabe in der Schaubude Berlin zum Thema Künstlerische Forschung 2023 und einer im FITZ Stuttgart 2024 mit dem Schwerpunkt Körper und Figur freuen wir uns sehr, das Festival wieder zurück im Westflügel zu haben. Wie auch schon bei der ersten Ausgabe 2022 wird der Schwerpunkt hier wieder auf internationaler Zusammenarbeit liegen.

Das künstlerische Programm umfasst internationale Produktionen aus Belgien, Frankreich, Israel, Indien, Polen, Argentinien und Deutschland. Im Rahmen des Netzwerktreffens laden wir Publikum und Fachpublikum dazu ein, sich über Themen wie Internationale Kooperationen, Auswirkungen politischer Konflikte auf den Kulturbetrieb und die Zukunft des Objekttheaters in verschiedenen Formaten auszutauschen.

International meeting on puppet theatre & showcase

In 2025, the festival FIGURE IT OUT! of the »Alliance of International Production Centres for Figure Theatre« is finally coming back to Leipzig! After an edition at Schaubude Berlin on the topic of artistic research in 2023 and one at FITZ Stuttgart in 2024 with a focus on body and figure, we are delighted to have the festival back at Westflügel. As with the first edition in 2022, the focus will once again be on international collaboration. Both Leipzig and international artists will be represented in the showcase program.

As part of the network meeting, we invite audiences and professionals to discuss topics such as “The impact of political conflicts on the cultural sector”, “International collaborations” and the “Visibility of puppet theater as an independent art form” in various formats.
