“Homesick”, the first-ever all neon exhibition by world-renowned artist Yael Bartana, eight exclusive duos and original compositions spanning jazz, modern classical and chamber pop.
The programme includes conventional classical, jazz and world music, sound experiments, visual arts, dance performances and poetic presentations.
In addition to the main performances, workshops and lectures are offered to deepen understanding and enable active audience participation. The ‘duet’ format serves as a catalyst for dialogue between different cultures, traditions and genres. It fosters closeness and intimacy, both between artists and between artists and their audiences. It aims to provide a platform where prejudices and barriers are overcome through genuine interpersonal encounters.
Musical program features over 20 international artists in unique duet formations, blending jazz, classical and world music. Highlights include performances by Avishai Cohen, Yonathan Avishai, Noa, Vincent Peirani, Émile Parisien, Dilek Turkan and classical violinist Guy Braunstein. The duet format serves as a powerful metaphor for dialogue - between cultures, disciplines, and individuals. The Wasserturm’s long reverberation and immersive acoustics encourage artists and audiences alike to slow down and listen more closely.
