The celebrated and award-winning musician Liniker is coming to Hamburg for the first time this summer!

The Brazilian singer and songwriter Liniker has always been crazy about art. Growing up in Araraquara, a small town just 270 km from Brazil's capital São Paulo, she regularly accompanied her mother and uncle to samba rock sessions as a child. She went on to study theater in Santo André - an experience that would play an important role in the development of her artistic identity.

Liniker first came to prominence in 2015 with the release of the EP Cru, which was published online under the name Liniker e os Caramelows. Since then, she has toured extensively throughout Brazil and the world and released the albums Remonta (2016) and Goela Abaixo (2019) with the same line-up, the latter of which received a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Rock or Alternative Album in Portuguese. She also played the role of Cassandra in the Amazon Prime series Manhãs de Setembro (2021), which prompted Glamour magazine to recognize her as a "Game-Changer" in the "Actress" category of their Geração Glamour Awards.

That same year, Liniker released her first solo album, Indigo Borboleta Anil, on which she collaborated with Milton Nascimento, Tássia Reis, DJ Nyack, Tulipa Ruiz, Orquestra Jazz Sinfônica, Letieres Leite and the Orkestra Rumpilezz. The album was nominated for three Latin Grammys in 2022 and won the award for Best Popular Music Album in Portuguese. This made Liniker the most nominated Brazilian artist of that year and the first transgender artist ever to win a Latin Grammy.

With her first solo tour, Liniker traveled across Brazil and delivered acclaimed performances at major festivals, including the Sunset Stage at Rock in Rio 2022 and the first Primavera Sound São Paulo. In 2023, she also made her solo debut in Europe with sold-out concerts in Spain, Portugal, the UK, France, the Netherlands and Germany. In the same year, she was honored as "Immortal" by the Brazilian Academy of Culture (ABC). Liniker is one of the few Brazilian artists to have performed at NPR Tiny Desk, Colors Studio and major festivals such as Glastonbury, Roskilde and Rock in Rio.

Most recently, Liniker released the album CAJU, which she co-produced with Fejuca and Gustavo Ruiz - the same trio behind the production of Indigo Borboleta Anil. CAJU is a very personal album that brings together an eclectic mix of styles, from pop, samba, jazz and house to pagode, arrocha, disco and reggae. The album features collaborations with Lulu Santos, BaianaSystem, ANAVITÓRIA, Pabllo Vittar, Priscila Senna.

CAJU was to be the definitive breakthrough for Liniker: Just ten days after its release, her second solo album became a milestone in her career, achieving over 200 million streams on all platforms - 6 million of them in the first 24 hours alone. The album reached #6 on Spotify's Global Top Album Debut Charts, while 13 of the 14 tracks entered Apple Music Brazil's Top 100. Both the album and the title track shot to No. 1 on the iTunes charts in Brazil within just three days of release.
