13. Lange Nacht des Klezmer Erfurt | Kultur: Haus Dacheröden

Since 2012, the Long Night of Klezmer Erfurt has been transforming the city into a playing field for Jewish music: regional and national ensembles deliver a firework display of klezmer sounds in one evening.
For the 13th Long Night of Klezmer, Herje Mine (Leipzig), Helmut Eisel (Saarbrücken) & The String Company (Erfurt) bring klezmer as a universal world music language with heart and diverse dialects to the open-air summer stage of the Kultur: Haus Dacheröden. The highlight of the night is the joint performance of all ensembles with the musicians of the Klezmer Jam Band. In five workshops, the enthusiastic band under the direction of Klaus Wegener (clarinet) & The String Company worked intensively on the repertoire of the individual ensembles and rehearsed several pieces - ready for the big final concert. The concert sends out a musical signal - for remembrance, diversity, democratic coexistence and the unifying power of music.
