Jazzchor Würzburg - "human heart"

With its "human heart" program, the Würzburg Jazz Choir invites you on a musical journey that is about nothing other than the human heart and all the feelings associated with it. Longing, anger, sadness, hope and love. Sometimes it becomes a political symbol, such as in the Iranian protest song "Baraye", which makes the longing for freedom palpable. Sometimes it describes the energy that arises when we act humanly and also the power when many voices unite. In pieces such as "Armor" by Sara Bareilles, the heart stands for strength, vulnerability and self-assertion. Sometimes playful, sometimes profound and sometimes hopeful.

The result is an atmospheric evening in which the heart beats to the rhythm of modern pop music. With a cappella singing at a high musical level, great harmonies and rousing rhythms. Under the direction of Franny Fuchs, the choir develops a special blend of different genres, emotional depth and a legendary, lively stage presence that makes every concert an intense experience.
