5. Hamborger Plattdüütsch-Dag: Offene Chorprobe

Open choir rehearsal of the Hamburg Association with well-known Low German songs. The Kanemaki choir (for men/women mixed) starts at 12 noon, followed by the Seemanns-Chor Hamburg (for men) at 1 pm. Fancy singing? Then come along!

Kanemaki Choir
Music connects people - countries - peoples. Under this motto, the internationally oriented and mixed choir (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) sings songs in various languages (e.g. Japanese, Swedish, Italian, English, Latin, German, Low German). Classical and popular songs create a special mixture

Seamen's Choir Hamburg
Four voices (tenor 1 and 2, bass 1 and 2), currently around 40 active singers and a wide musical range characterize the Seemanns-Chor Hamburg. Concerts in the Elbphilharmonie and the Laeiszhalle underline the fact that the choir has mastered not only well-known shanties but also classical works (e.g. by Verdi or Grieg).

The Verein der Hamburger is an association of citizens who are united by their love of Hamburg and who are committed to the welfare of the Hanseatic City of Hamburg.
