The Edit Essay Prize has been awarded since 2012 and has since established itself as a permanent fixture in the independent literary scene. In 2025, the prize was announced as part of the 12th Politics in Independent Theater festival on the topic of "Borders", because the essay is itself a literary borderline genre, a space of the in-between.
At the award ceremony, the three winners of the essay competition will be presented and their texts will be awarded a cash prize, a book publication or a radio production. Author Sandra Gugić will give a keynote speech and the evening will be hosted by Kais Harrabi. After the award ceremony, everyone is cordially invited to a get-together.
