19-year-old Alyssa is extroverted, impulsive and determined to escape from her suburb of Tunis. Her best friend Mehdi, 23 years old, shy, sensitive and introverted, stands in endless queues for job interviews and secretly hopes to make a living from his talent for drawing one day. One day, they discover a drawing competition in Djerba that could change their lives. In the road movie WHERE THE WIND COMES FROM, set between Tunis and Djerba, director Amel Guellaty paints a portrait of a generation torn between tradition and the search for a better future, and driven by uncertainty, carefreeness and hope.
