Two years ago, the book fair was on the verge of being canceled because there were simply too few of us in the organizing group. But numerous people responded to our call and helped organize the book fair so that it can continue. This has led to some changes in the preparation of the book fair, but not so much in the organization of the book fair.
The opening event on Thursday evening will be followed by three days of trade fair activities and an extensive accompanying program from Friday to Sunday. We are delighted that numerous libertarian publishers and distributors will be exhibiting with us again in 2026 and presenting the breadth of anarchist publishing. In addition, 26 lectures and workshops will offer the opportunity to enter into conversations and discussions.
With the book fair we want to present the diversity of anarchism, offer a place of exchange for the libertarian movement and at the same time give a broad audience the opportunity to get to know anarchist positions. We have once again tried to put together a broad program that sheds light on the current problems of our time, recounts the past from an anarchist perspective and presents alternatives to the prevailing system.
As always, the fair is largely barrier-free. Fair coffee and delicious vegan dishes will also be on offer. This time, the Maulwürfe from Freiburg will be cooking together with BlackWok from Dresden. As usual, overnight accommodation is available at the Schlafplatzbörse. Free admission to the book fair.
As the fair is primarily financed by donations, we will have a donation box at every event - but this does not mean that a donation is expected for every event attended. The kitchen collective is also financed by donations. The Maulwürfe, BlackWok and we are also happy to receive both financial and active support.
