FOKUS FLINTA* (Konzert)

In the organizer's words:

Get your tickets for FOKUS FLINTA* now and look forward to a fantastic FLINTA* lineup that awaits you on 22.05.2026 at the forum in Mannheim:

MAIVA (Dance Pop)

Cheeky, direct, full of energy - that's MAIVA.

MAIVA's lyrics are unapologetically honest & sometimes a little outrageous, served with a dash of agave syrup. She knows how to provoke without losing her sense of humor. Even when it comes to heavy topics - whether heartbreak or excessive overthinking - MAIVA remains in her own league: sharp-tongued, ironic and never without that little twist of levity. Ouch? Sure. But she turns it into a punchline and gets away with it.

MAIVA has been whirling around Germany's stages as a ball of energy with cheeky ease since 2023 and has never forgotten her attitude at home in over 80 live shows - whether as support for Alphaville, Raum27 and Soffie or in the line-up with Bruckner and Paula Hartmann.

NAOMI WESTLAKE (electronic off-pop)

Feeling the bass in your veins and questioning the world at the same time is a match in her music.

Naomi Westlake describes her own definition of electronic off-pop by combining modern beats with profound German pop lyrics. In doing so, she repeatedly takes up the escapism of her being as well as her personal definition of feminism. Her sound world is inspired by her English roots and international role models such as Charli XCX, Lorde and Billie Eilish.

She wants to break traditional role models and shows through her song lyrics, her baggy clothing style and her great interest in soccer that no one can tell her how to behave as a woman. Naomi deliberately floats between worlds: between electro and pop, loud and quiet, strength and vulnerability.
Naomi is profound, extroverted, edgy and androgynous.

Her humorous videos about music and feminism combined with her addiction to pasta with pesto are already reaching millions of people online - and it's only a matter of time before the same happens with her songs.

SALEMN (Indie Synthpop)

With shimmering indie synthpop, Salemn transports you into a dreamy universe of sound in which electronic textures, excited guitar licks and catchy pop melodies merge into an introspective atmosphere.

As the non-binary producer and creative head of the project, Salem Teal develops songs that capture queer-personal narratives and romantic-apocalyptic everyday life. Uncomfortably honest and daringly direct. Each track is a sound microcosm in its own right: sometimes eccentrically fragile, sometimes nervously explosive, infused with subtle sound ideas and subtleties.

After Salemn spent months in the studio working on their second EP, which will be released in May, these new tracks are literally crying out to touch listeners in intimate clubs.

There will also be information stands where you can find out more about queer feminism and local initiatives. More details will follow on the Popakademie's social media channels.

Everyone is cordially invited to dance, sing and celebrate in a respectful manner (queer hostility, racism, sexism and any other form of discrimination have no place here!) We look forward to seeing you 💫
