Afrika Film Festival: Stand up my beauty

In the organizer's words:

The singer Nardos Wude Tesfaw comes from a village in northern Ethiopia, where the Azmari tradition is deeply rooted. Nardo's father died when she was five years old. She wanted to be a singer from an early age and found solace in singing. In her search for stories for her songs, she meets Gennet, a poet who lives on the street with her children. As Nardos places the lives of Ethiopian women, their visions and strength at the center of her creation, we dive deeper and deeper into a rapidly changing country.
