The Turkish musician Ahmet Aslan creates a sound world of timeless beauty in which you can completely immerse yourself. He achieves this with his voice, among other things, which sounds robust and warm, but can also reach poignant heights. He shines on his own stringed instrument, the di-tar, a cross between a classical guitar, flamenco guitar and bağlama.

Ahmet Aslan is a passionate advocate of the culture of the Zaza, a people living on the border between Iran and Turkey. But he is popular throughout Turkey, especially since his music was used in the popular TV crime series Eşkiya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz (Ruler of the Underworld). His success has a Dutch touch, as he developed the Di-Tar at Codarts World Music in Rotterdam.
