Ajaye (Kanada & Nashville)

AJAYE (pronounced "A.J.") from Nashville, Tennessee, inspired by artists like Brandi Carlile and Shawn Colvin, moves between modern folk and Americana, exploring everyday life in extraordinary ways. Born in a small town in British Columbia, Canada, she draws her inspiration from defying expectations and forging her own path in life.

Her latest acoustic EP "Silverline" is a beautifully crafted collection of songs and accompanying live videos that takes a look at what it means to grow up. Without being too wistful, AJAYE's songs are characterized by a great honesty. The videos will be released individually from September 2023. "At some point, we all break away from the stories we believed in and start writing our own," says AJAYE.

AJAYE is an award-winning artist who has made a name for herself in the Nashville club scene, performing regularly at the legendary Bluebird Café. She has built a solid reputation in Canada, the US and Europe as an outstanding singer and songwriter. She was recognized as the 2019 British Columbia Country Female Artist of the Year, was nominated for the Nashville Songwriter Association Member Award for her song "Phone Bill", was a semi-finalist in the Songwriter Serenade Songwriting Competition in Texas, performed on Today in Nashville, AMI Guitars and Lanikai Ukuleles.
