1. lemon ice, 2. water fights, 3. staying up later than usual and watching TV, 4. the color yellow: It's supposed to be a list of a thousand beautiful things. With everything that is beautiful about the world.
The main character of the play was seven years old when his mother tried to end her life for the first time. The list is his attempt to show her what makes life worth living. In the meantime, the boy has grown up. With the help of the audience, he talks about his childhood and youth, his mother's depression, his worry, loneliness and anger. Situations from his life are visualized together: Family evenings at the piano, first love, the funeral after his mother's suicide.
A courageous, thought-provoking, life-affirming play about the fragility of human relationships, the power of empathy and how a list of all the beautiful things in life can change the way we look at the world.
