Art course with the artist Max Hanisch, @max_hanisch-studio
The ability to perceive the three primary colors red, green and blue, i.e. drichromatic color vision, developed in the human lineage around 30 million years ago. The continuation of this genetic development up to the present day not only proves the evolutionary advantage of a broader color perception, but also shows how humans have understood their environment in colors since time immemorial. We are always surrounded by light that radiates back to us from our surroundings. Art has always made use of the phenomena of color to direct perception.
But what exactly is color and why can it do all this? Do we all see the same blue? Strange facts from art history, psychology and a bit of chemistry. This and more will be explored on two course dates with the artist Max Hanisch
in free experiments on various positions in the "Colour Crush" exhibition. No previous technical knowledge is required. The focus is on discovering the effects of watercolor, pastel and charcoal.
