In the organizer's words:

For 25 years, Alix von Melle shared her passion for high-altitude mountaineering with her husband Luis Stitzinger and climbed seven eight-thousanders without the use of artificial oxygen.

In 2023, Luis did not return from his 10th eight-thousander. Alix takes on the challenge of mastering her new life and continuing her passion for high-altitude mountaineering with Luis in her heart.

In 2024, she succeeds in climbing the seven-thousander Putha Hiunchuli, where she fulfills Luis' last wish and scatters his ashes on the summit.
