Alter Bridge | What lies within Tour

After more than 20 years as a band and thus two decades in which their own musical profile has been honed to absolute perfection, the release of the self-titled album "Alter Bridge" seems like a promise to all long-time fans.

US-Americans Myles Kennedy, Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips formed the hard rock band Alter Bridge in 2004 in their native Florida and have never changed their band line-up over the years - just one reason why the latest album released at the beginning of January feels a bit like coming home.

The mixture of hardcore and progressive metal has been bubbling in the band's own sound pot since the release of their debut album "One Day Remains" in the year they were founded. Known for their sophisticated guitar work and the enormous range of frontman Myles Kennedy's vocals, the quartet has released a total of eight studio albums in recent years, from which hits such as "Metalingus", "Addicted To Pain" and "Pawns & Kings" have emerged. The band's common mindset of never resting on their laurels quickly bore fruit: sold-out arenas, international recognition and almost 1 billion streams paved the way to the top of the hard rock world.

For the four band members, now was the perfect and only right time to release "Alter Bridge". Locked away for a month in the Los Angeles studios of the late Eddie Van Halen, the musicians worked more intensively than ever on their new work. Breakneck guitar riffs and big, infectious hooks characterize the album, whose live moment is now set to become the next milestone in Alter Bridge's discography.

In June, the US-Americans are heading to Europe to bring the new album and the best of the past two decades to the stage as part of their "What Lies Within" tour. In Germany, fans in Bremen and Leipzig will get the chance to experience Alter Bridge live with their new program.
