In his documentary, Jens Meurer gives a voice to people who were already looking for a turn to analog when others were still surrendering to the promises of the next generation of iPhones. Like the eccentric but likeable hero of the film, Florian "Doc" Kaps, who risked his entire fortune in 2008 to save the last Polaroid factory in the world from going out of business with a small group of idealists. A courageous swim against the tide and an attempt to break free from the grip of technology.

An Impossible Project is a sensual and entertaining film about a worldwide phenomenon: the rediscovery of analog as a counter-movement to the digital revolution. A haptic breath of fresh air in ever faster times. Shot on 35mm, the documentary brings us closer to the endearing underdog story of a visionary who wants to make the impossible possible.
