ANCESTRAL VISIONS OF THE FUTURE

From childhood memories of the streets he played in to encounters with a farmer or a martial artist, Lemohang Jeremiah Mosese weaves an intimate narrative that combines childhood, education, exile and observing the world. In doing so, he addresses the violence inherited from the colonial legacy, which continues to have an impact in the present day. ANCESTRAL VISIONS OF THE FUTURE juxtaposes future and ancestral heritage and poetically deconstructs temporal boundaries. In his third feature film, the director creates a personal allegory of uprooting and belonging through a landscape of his home country - Lesotho.
