On May 2, 1926, the film "The Adventures of Prince Achmed" by Lotte Reiniger premiered in Berlin. 100 years later, the ITFS is showing the film to mark the anniversary. It is considered to be the oldest surviving feature-length animated film and is a milestone in film history. A quintet of the SWR Symphony Orchestra will accompany the screening live and play the film's original music by Wolfgang Zeller. The interplay of image and music creates a very special experience. The artistic silhouettes and the imaginative story still enchant audiences around the world today.
