The famous online granny brews up. When Renate Bergmann opens a café, there's only pots outside, cakes like grandma used to make and lots of nostalgic memories of her youth. Gertrud, Horst and Ilse are of course part of the party.

With Renate Bergmann, it's not just a case of chatting, but getting down to work. The old village pub in Spreeweide has too few guests. The former grooming school was affectionately known as the "Kuppelkrug". What a time it was, before Ossiporosis, when she and Ilse used to dance the night away. You have to do something about that. What would happen if Mayor Brummer's daughter's too-small café moved in? Then everyone in Spreeweide could go for a nice confection, even with space for a rollator and the like. The online granny is going for it: with a woman's waffles and hand-brewed coffee beans.

The actress Anke Siefken lives in Bavaria and Hanover and has been acting for over 40 years, currently at the Theater in der List in Hanover. She has been successfully touring the country as Renate Bergmann since 2015. She is also no stranger to the Peterknecht bookshop, having been a guest here several times as Renate Bergmann.
