Finally back with an 8-piece band after 10 years

Anneke van Giersbergen is a Dutch singer-songwriter known for her powerful yet profound voice, her musical versatility and her captivating stage presence.

Anneke's new album "La Vie, La Mort, L'Amour" will be released as a trilogy. The digital release of the second of three EPs is scheduled for March 27, 2026. This EP, entitled "La Mort", will be announced on February 20 by the single "Red Sky".

In November 2026 she will present the new album with her 8-piece band. She has already toured in over 45 countries and released over 25 studio albums to date.

After thirteen years as frontwoman of the melancholic metal band The Gathering, Anneke launched her solo career in 2007. Since then, her creativity has known no bounds. She quickly established herself as a successful solo artist while frequently collaborating with Canadian metal visionary Devin Townsend and Ayreon mastermind Arjen Lucassen.

Anneke has also lent her voice to a wide range of artists, including Within Temptation, Napalm Death, Icelandic folk group Árstíðir, Amorphis and prog legend John Wetton (King Crimson).

In 2019, the Dutch music organization Buma Cultuur honoured Anneke with the Buma ROCKS! Export Award, recognizing her as one of the most prominent Dutch female heavy metal artists abroad.
