With their enchanting blend of electronics, pop art, saudade and Latin American alternative rock, Ão has established itself as one of the most exciting bands on the Belgian scene. The quartet has developed a unique and innovative style that defies categorization, much like Stromae, Rosalía or C. Tangana before them.

Carried by her Mozambican and Portuguese roots, Brenda Corijn sings in Portuguese and English with a warm, magnetic voice that blends beautifully with the sunny guitar of Siebe Chau, the plastic electronics of Jolan Decaestecker and the eclectic percussions of Bert Peyffers. On stage, Ão offers a captivating and engaging experience that has delighted audiences across Europe. Their dynamic sound, ranging from fragile, intimate melodies to danceable rhythms, transports the listener into an enchanting universe where you never know where anything is coming from.

Malandra, the band's new album, will be released on February 13, 2026. A Malandra is a woman who goes through the world with playfulness, intelligence and mischievousness, not always straightforward, but resolutely true to herself. With Malandra, Ão pays tribute to complexity, diversity and searching in all its forms. The album reveals more depth, rhythm, playfulness, tenderness and rawness than her first work Ao Mar. It will be brought to life on a European tour in 2026, with a performance in Belgium at Ancienne Belgique.
