In the organizer's words:

After 8 chanson programs, including Brecht, Friedrich Holländer, Andre Heller, Udo Jürgens, we want to continue the series of chanson evenings with Hildegard Knef, with a cross-section of well-known and lesser-known songs. Hildegard Knef gave her last concert in Hamburg in 1986. She became famous in the post-war period with her first major film success in 1946 in Wolfgang Staude's "Die Mörder sind unter uns", not forgetting the film "Die Sünderin", a scandal in the stuffy and prudish Adenauer era, and not least her Hollywood and Broadway career.
In 1962, she began her career as a chanson singer, which made her just as famous as her career as an actress. Her life story is reflected in many of her songs.
