The evening begins at Museum Schnütgen with the Ensemble opia and the singer Bryan Benner. Monteverdi's "Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda" sets Torquato Tasso's poem "Gerusalemme Liberata" to music and vividly tells of the struggle between two lovers, false pride, religious contrasts and old enemy images.
Works by Claudio Monteverdi, Salomone Rossi, Dario Castello, Giovanni Legrenzi, Carlo Gesualdo da Venosa, Antonio Bertali and others.
Concert introduction 18:10 at Museum Schnütgen for both concerts of the evening
One-way ticket: 22/14 €
