The opening speech on the vernissage evening will be given by Aron Schöpf M.A., curator of the exhibition Space and Time at the German Future Museum Nuremberg. Of course, the artist will also be there and we are all looking forward to seeing you!

The artist, who has been living and working near Goslar since 2022 (winner of the Nürnberger Nachrichten art prize and the Phönix art prize, among others), is known for his large sculptures made of computer circuit boards and also marketeries made of the same material, and has been preparing this exhibition for around 1.5 years. A series of large sculptures and smaller marquetry pieces have been created and are being shown for the first time. As usual, spectacular and contemporary, he touches on various aspects of the modern world, wrapped in stories from classical mythology. In this way, the "protagonists" mutate into completely unique interpretations and may be viewed with different eyes or from new perspectives...very interesting and sensational in terms of craftsmanship!

Bauhaus graduate and wood sculptor Sebastian Hertrich creates works of art from carved acrylic glass, epoxy resin and computer circuit boards that are completely unseen. His works are both delicate and imposing. Using his unique technique of sculpture and marquetry, he creates sculptures and portraits, among other things, with which he has now developed a unique selling point. He operates precisely at the interface between art and the all-encompassing "digital transformation" that has our lives firmly in its grip.

The exhibition runs until around the end of June 2026.
