In the organizer's words:

If you bring together landscape, climate, economy, housing and mobility, this results in five pillars on which the Stuttgart Region is based - which influence each other directly or indirectly and which can only ensure stability together. This interaction is playing an increasingly important role for the future of the region. Example: Climate change requires climate adaptation - in construction, in the economy, for housing and the landscape. If you want to work in the region, you need affordable housing. Those who can't find it will move away - to the economic detriment of the region, etc. These are all issues that the regional assembly, the political body of the Verband Region Stuttgart, deals with.

The interdependencies are far-reaching - and become clear at the exhibition: "On the site, get set, go! - Build YOUR region". The Verband Region Stuttgart has created an interactive space in the StadtPalais Museum for Stuttgart: Here you can spend two months crafting your own individual "perfect region". Do you want more open spaces for slacklining or art? More living space in urban areas? More opportunities for mobility? But also enough space for hidden champions and start-ups?

You can play with the building blocks of mobility, economy, housing, climate and landscape - and sometimes reach your limits. Because no matter what your wish list for a "perfect region" looks like - is it realistic and feasible? Where is there room for this ideal solution? Who ultimately decides what's happening and what isn't? And above all: why? Find out!
