Auftaktvorlesung mit Tijan Sila

In the organizer's words:

The NEUE DEUTSCHE LITERATUR poetry lectureship was launched in 2022 by the German Department at Leibniz Universität Hannover together with the Literaturhaus. The poetry lecturer for the winter semester 2025/26 is Tijan Sila.

He is an author whose texts deal with the peculiarities of autobiographical and autofictional writing: Is one still telling the autobiographical truth when one swaps or ratchets the order of events in favor of the narrative flow? And what is this 'truth' supposed to be?

Tijan Sila, born in Sarajevo in 1981, came to Germany as a refugee in 1994. He studied German and English language and literature in Heidelberg. His first novel Tierchen Unlimited was published in 2017, followed by Die Fahne der Wünsche in 2018,
