Ausstellung: Situation heute

In the organizer's words:

SITUATION TODAY

The basic theme of Koken Nomura 's art is the relationship between man, nature and the cosmos.
"Situation today", the title of a wall object from 1992, is emblematic of this fragile relationship.

For his sculptures, objects, collages and installations, he uses materials such as
- wood
- stone
- paper
- wax
- nails
- Found objects

This exhibition features large and small-format wooden wall objects spanning four decades.

Nomura's works are meditative and calm, they show the endangerment and uniqueness of our environment, which he prefers to call "fellow world".

By avoiding strong colors, he emphasizes the mysterious beauty of knotholes and grains.
