The exhibition brings together two generations and two strong artistic voices: the paintings of Tadeusz Wojnarski (1922-1999) and the poetry of contemporary author Marek Hajok, captured in prints by Jola Barnaś. Both artists are Polish emigrants, albeit with very different life paths, but both process their experiences into a testimony of both personal and universal reflection. The result is a reflection of the soul - "odbicia duszy". The poetic-visual dialog will be framed by piano improvisations by Nina Gurol and a conversation with Tadeusz Wojnarski, Jr. Hajok's poems from "Borelioza" and "Postskriptum", Wojnarski's sonnets and excerpts from the biographical book "Erinnerungen eines Anders Künstlers - Wspomnienia artysty Andersa" will be read by the authors and Margaux Kier.
We are pleased that the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Cologne - Mr. Marek Głuszko - will be responsible for the welcome and introduction.

A highlight of the FINISSAGE on 23.11.25, at 11.00 am, in addition to the renewed reading, is the concert by Elisey Krupenkov, on the flute with live electronics. Elisey is active as a flutist both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. In his current projects, he explores the combination of flute, classical harmony, live electronics, pedal technique and contemporary playing styles. In doing so, he draws on baroque harmonies and folk motifs from which he develops his own music.

Tadeusz Wojnarski, 1922 - 1999
- born in Warsaw, was deported with hundreds of thousands of Poles to the depths of the Soviet Union. After Hitler's attack on the Soviet Union, he left with General Anders' 2nd Corps. In Italy, he fought "with a rifle in one hand and a paintbrush in the other". The portraits of his fellow soldiers are not only images of their souls, but also of his own as a fellow sufferer. During his studies in Rome and Madrid, this realization was consolidated: "The depth of a work of art is a reflection of the depth of its creator's soul." It became the driving force behind his later works.

Marek Hajok
- born in Mikołów in 1966, has lived in Leverkusen, Germany, since 1989. Co-founder of the blues-rock group "Padre", winner of the "Debiut '86" competition. Author of the short story collection "Co w głowie piszczy" (2013) and poems, including in the poetry collection "Wierszobranie" (2011). The monodrama "Not me" by Katarzyna Gliwa (Theater Korez, Katowice, 2014) was based on his texts from "Alienacja". His poems from "Borelioza", "Alienacja" and "Post scriptum" were shown in graphic works by Jola Barnaś, exhibited in Poland, Germany and Belgium.
