Ausstellungseröffnung: Im ewigen Jetzt - Sammlungen und Verwandlungen

From mid-May, the Baukunstarchiv NRW will be showing the exhibition "Davoud Sarfaraz: In the Eternal Now - Collections and Transformations". Works by Dortmund artist Davoud Sarfaraz from his extensive 50-year creative period will be presented.

An exhibition opening will take place on May 9 at 11:00 am at the Baukunstarchiv NRW in Dortmund. Speakers will include the artist and curator. Free admission!

What you can see in the exhibition: Davoud Sarfaraz is a wanderer between worlds: born and partly raised in Dasht-e Kavir (Iran), the artist was exposed to the sheer endless expanse of the salt desert for years.

In his early memories, houses, settlements and objects were embedded in the boundless space of the desert. Sarfaraz's paintings often respond to these powerful spatial experiences. Architectural elements become formative carriers of meaning in his oeuvre.

The exhibition also presents colorful paintings with which the artist Davoud Sarfaraz celebrates life, freedom and space.
