In a personal conversation with Dr. Wolfgang Niess - historian, moderator and author himself - renowned authors will have their say in this series of events. A current work by the author will be discussed. In addition to the content of the book and its relevance to current events, the biography of the respective guest also comes into focus.

In view of our present, in which nothing seems certain anymore, Anna Katharina Hahn portrays a Stuttgart choir as a mirror of an entire urban society in "Der Chor". In her new novel, she sensitively and relentlessly portrays women from three generations - in their strengths and weaknesses, their feelings, their sensitivity and their mercilessness.

Anna Katharina Hahn, born in 1970, lives in Stuttgart. Her longseller "Kürzere Tage" was published in 2009. Her second novel, "Am schwarzen Berg", was shortlisted for the Leipzig Book Fair Prize in 2012 and was number one on the SWR bestseller list. This was followed by "Das Kleid meiner Mutter" in 2016 and the novel "Aus und davon" in 2020, which was on the Spiegel bestseller list several times.
