On French traces through Stuttgart: New audio guide "Balado - La France à Stuttgart" invites you to discover.
The state capital becomes the stage for a fascinating Franco-German story. At 24 stops, the city tour "Balado - La France à Stuttgart" takes you to places where French culture, history and personal lives have left their mark on the cityscape. Historical buildings, literary encounters, political connections and surprising anecdotes make it clear how closely Stuttgart and France have been intertwined for centuries - and how lively this relationship still is today.
The stories are told by committed personalities, profound connoisseurs and people who have shaped these connections to this day - including Daniel Cohn-Bendit, Michael Klett, Peter Erasmus, Frank Nopper and Stefanie Stegmann.
The walk begins and ends at the Institut français - the heart of French life in Stuttgart. From the new institute on Berliner Platz, the route goes up to the villa in Diemershaldenstraße - the old headquarters of the French cultural institute, which now houses the children's hospice. From the west with a detour at the Feuersee near the Klett-Areal over to the east to the Robert Bosch House; later stroll along the cultural mile, meet King Football at the Stadtpalais, say hello to art and Le Corbusier on the way and then a cuvée to the town twinning at Pierre-Pflimlin-Platz ... Station by station, an urban space full of memories, cultural connections and surprising discoveries unfolds.
A version in simple French is being developed in collaboration with the Klett publishing house.
