Traditional music with a Dionysian atmosphere

BANDA ENTOPICA live in Cologne!

Banda Entopica comes from Thessaloniki (Greece), where the members met and founded the band. All musicians have experience from different bands and musical styles.

Together they create a unique blend of traditional and modern Balkan music - with clarinet, saxophone, accordion and daouli (traditional drum).

Their live performances are pure energy: dance-like, sometimes ecstatic rhythms, sounds from Macedonia, Thrace, Epirus and the entire Balkan region merge into an exciting sound that leaves no one standing still.

Their own compositions also set the mood everywhere. The way Banda Entopica interprets traditional music and creates an almost Dionysian atmosphere makes them a sought-after act at festivals large and small.
