Bandsupporter CONTEST - Germany's biggest regional showcase series turns 10!

Bandsupporter, an initiative of a record store near Darmstadt, will be twenty years old in 2026! Launched in 2014, Bandsupporter CONTEST is celebrating its 10th edition and is now the largest regional showcase. The initiators of CONTEST wanted to do things differently and fairly back then, and that's exactly what they hear from the artists who often return. No CONTEST idea, lots of connection, at eye level and fair. The band supporters are now coming back to your city for the double anniversary. As always, the focus is on the bands and fans. Tickets for the event are available at the Box Office and via the Ztix ticket system in advance and at a discount from the bands.

The winning band of 2025:

Self Made Bluesrock influenced by the late 1960's and early 1970's. from Weinheim, since 2018.
Catchy riffs, groovy harp solos and a unique smoky, warm voice are probably the easiest way to describe the Weinheim-based blues/rock band "The Paraberries". The four guys, all in their early twenties, have been filling numerous clubs and bars in the Rhine-Neckar and Rhine-Main regions since 2018, including as a support act for the British rock band "The Brew".

With their own songs and an energetic performance, they revive the golden era of rock music in the style of the late 60s with a new freshness.

The band is made up of David Matuschek on drums, Lars Hördt on bass, Marvin Rick on guitar and singer and harp player Dominik Maciejewski. David and Lars form the backbone of the band. With energetic drum fills and melodic basslines, they form the perfect basis for a gripping rock experience. While Marvin's long, sharp notes, which he tickles out of his guitar, bring out feelings of freedom and pure joy from the hearts of the audience, frontman Dominik amazes them with his charismatic manner.

As soon as the young musicians take to the stage, the spirit of a bygone era comes to life in a modern version. This has already been reported by local media, such as the Weinheimer Nachrichten "A touch of the late 1960s pervaded the Central when Maciejewski's voice fell slightly into vibrato on the drawn-out high notes" (17.09.2018).
