The band around the well-known musician and artistic director of the Hildener Jazztage, Peter Baumgärtner, has a wealth of musical skills that unfold uniquely in this special line-up,
Matteo Raggi has been one of the most sought-after saxophonists in Italy for many years. He completed his music studies at the state conservatory in Bologna. He then went to New York and studied with Charles Davies and Barry Harris.
His collaboration with jazz greats such as Scot Hamilton, Bobby Watson and Dusko Goikovich - to name but a few - brought him and his smooth, soulful sound international recognition.
