After numerous releases on renowned scene labels such as Manic Depression, Wave Tension, Oráculo, Third Coming, Wave Records and Icy Cold, the Berlin quintet BLEIB MODERN has finally reached its natural home port with Young & Cold Records.

In the mid-2010s, the group was among the first of the darkwave/postpunk revival, and has since built up an extremely good reputation with numerous releases and live performances.
an extremely good reputation. The fifth album will take the success of BLEIB MODERN to new dimensions with the worldwide network of Young & Cold Records. The fact that the album is self-titled shows the band's new self-image and their absolute confidence in the release.
It quickly becomes clear that the band's sound has matured considerably. As on none of the previous albums, an enchanting atmospheric density has been created here, which is otherwise known from acts such as Clan Of Xymox or Drab Majesty. The
mixture of intense atmosphere and catchiness is hit to the point.

BLEIB MODERN is breaking new ground. For the first time in the band's history, the lyrics are in German. In addition to guitars, bass and drums, synths and samples are now an integral part. The varied song structures lead us into a sparkling dream world: tracks such as "T.W.T.I.A." and "Feeling Great" are driving earworms that are sure to quickly become fan favorites, while "Stell Dir Vor" and "Rainy
Day", on the other hand, are the perfect soundtrack for darker moments. The music has that essential stay modern vibe, but on the next level. The nine new songs are framed by an intro and an outro, which gives the whole album a conceptual character and also shows the more experimental side of BLEIB MODERN. No question, with this album BLEIB MODERN
deliver their artistic peak so far and will quickly reach a level of success that only bands like Lebanon Hanover or She Past Away are currently on.

The Hamburg musician Konstantin Unwohl, known for the underground hit "My Mind" and "Amarillo", dares to take the plunge into even more drifting waters. Where entertaining satisfaction in the eternal struggle with gnawing doubts accompany everyday life, where the sun mockingly shines on the lowered head and where the last drink is always one too many - that's where the new Unwohl moves on "Neuer Wall" and convinces with powerful but unpredictable drum machine rhythms.

"Neuer Wall" will be released at the end of May 2024 on the Hamburg label Tapete Records.
