From heavy metal to hardcore to jazz and ambient: the musical development of Bohren & Der Club of Gore is probably quite unique. The trio from Mühlheim an der Ruhr has been creating instrumental horror soundtracks since 1988. Or as they call it: "doom ridden jazz music", "detective jazz" or alternatively "boring instrumental music". We say: nobody knows how Bohren & the Club of Gore build meditative, spherical soundscapes that scrape along the border to complete standstill. Threatening and yet full of beauty, tough and full of tension at the same time. On the darkened stages, the music is broken down to its absolute essence, no sound too much, no distracting stage show, but always with a pinch of humor. You should experience a Bohren performance at least once in your life.
