BOOK-RELEASE / TAPE ART EXHIBITION (free admission)
You can expect:
The TAPE THAT Artbook No. 4 documents the central role of the artist collective in the development of a young, up-and-coming art form and its formative influence over the last ten years. It shows the beginnings of the first exhibitions and room installations through to international collaborations. The works on display are aimed at art lovers and collectors, colleagues and friends from the creative industries, as well as artists in general. It has taken almost a decade to bring this art form to a level that attracts international attention. The collected works in this book not only reflect the development of TAPE THAT, but also provide initial insights into the possibilities of this art form.
------------------------
In 2011, TAPE THAT was born from a simple idea: to create artworks with tape instead of paint. Over time, our vision evolved and tape became our main medium. Inspired by this everyday object, we began to work with tape in clubs, bars, at festivals and in private spaces. Soon, in addition to our own artworks and installations in our first own exhibitions, commissioned works also became part of our practice.
Today, our collective consists of four artists who have realized projects in over 40 countries - from framed works of art to hang on walls to large-scale room installations and façade designs. Each brings their own style and individual vision to the table.
