This workshop is aimed exclusively at FLINTA* people.
Lecturer: Dominique Panther-Robinson (Kiosque Booking)
How do you get gigs - how do you find the right venues - and how do you even get noticed? Together with Dominique from Kiosque Booking, we will give you lots of tips and tricks to take your booking into your own hands. Performing independently, negotiating fees, communicating with promoters and assessing when an agency really makes sense - Dominique will give you an insight into the complex but beautiful world of the live music industry.
The second part will be practical: you will put together your own press kit (EPK) to convince event organizers and develop strategies and structures for your booking together with the group. You will receive valuable feedback on your materials and ideas.
You'll leave with clear answers, new impulses and increased self-confidence - ready to bring your music to the stages you deserve.
Snacks and drinks will be provided.
Max. Participants: 10
Dominique Panther-Robinson (she/her) has been active in the live music industry since 2015 and has worked in various positions in the booking and festival sector during this time. After many years at Audiolith Booking, Dominique started her own business in summer 2023 with Kiosque Booking and pursues an idealism-driven booking approach, in which she pays particular attention to an organic structure of her artists, as well as trying to make a lasting difference in the music industry by paying a lot of attention to FLINTA artists, queer-ferminist and BIPOC artists. In 2021, she founded the queer-feminist association faemm e.V. with other great colleagues and currently holds one of the four board positions there.
In addition to her great love for concerts & music, Dominique also enjoys sports (preferably lacrosse and tennis), train travel through Europe, fun drinks from the kiosk and cats.
Participation with an All-IN-ONE-FESTIVALTICKET and prior registration via e-mail. Or you can book a ticket for this workshop only.
