For an exhibition entitled: BOS, formed from the first letters of their names, three artists
of their names, in October 2025, three artist personalities have
have made an appointment: Friedrich Böll, Klaus Osterwald and Max Scholz, all three based and working in Cologne.
based and active in Cologne. Despite the independence of their different positions
they share a strong sense for whimsical, non-rationally comprehensible
poetic ideas which, in their artistic expression, transform the familiar into
irrational contexts, the playful into serious interpretations and the
materialistic, into airy ideas. Behind this lightness there is always
seriousness, with which they are not prepared to take things for granted, but rather
take things for granted, but rather, by shifting meaning and overemphasizing
and overemphasizing the irrational. Although they come from
different generations, all three artists work in different ways with
different ways with technical media such as kinetics, programming, video and sound,
