In the organizer's words:

Brig Huezo: PERREANDO HARDCORE

PERREANDO HARDCORE stages the contradictions of the online genre Traumacore: innocence meets darkness, candy-sticky cuteness creates discomfort. Trauma is not a confession here, but a process and choreographic sequence, an unstable structure that oscillates between control and collapse.

The dancers are tracked on stage in real time; their bodies are connected to digital avatars and uncanny creatures. Every movement creates a digital echo that oscillates between tenderness and monstrosity. The hips are central to this field of tension: hidden, fetishized, punished, celebrated. Their grinding serves less to entertain than to resist - the rhythm of survival, each swing an archive of stories that are deeply anchored in muscular memory.

Musically, the piece combines atmospheric shoegaze with the energy of reggaeton. The result is a soundscape that is both atmospherically enraptured and physically immediate. Trauma is not resolved here through healing, but is made tangible as vibration, flickering and fragmentation.

COMPAGNY

Brig Huezo (they/them, non-binary) is a post-digital choreographerand dance artist. At the center of her work is the deconstruction of the body in a technology-driven world. Her practice combines movement with motion tracking, gaming, 3D design and film to create immersive "phygital" formats. Huezo studied contemporary dance at the Cologne University of Music and Dance (2021), funded by DAAD and private scholarships, and received the NRW Prize for Performing Arts in 2024. The third production THE DEATH AT THE CODE! (2024) was nominated for the SK Stiftung Kultur Dance Theater Prize. In 2026, Huezo will present THE GHOST IN THE GLITCH, a new work at the Cologne Opera, co-produced with Tanzhaus NRW and supported by the City of Cologne's Department of Culture - asone of the first young independent choreographersto direct there. Other works include POST DIGITAL BODIES (2023) for the 25th anniversary of Tanzhaus NRW and the solo THE DEAD CODE MUST BE ALIVE! (2022). Presentations at Tanz NRW Biennale, TEMPS D'IMAGES, A MAZE Berlin, Gamescom and PACT Zollverein, among others.
