Café Zikade X Stand.Art Kunstausstellung - Marcus Schorn & Jane Spunk

Every month, Café Zikade becomes a stage for exciting art in collaboration with @stand.art_kunstmarkt! We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting regularly changing art exhibitions including vernissages. Each exhibition is presented by talented artists who change every month - a great opportunity to discover new works and celebrate creative exchange!

Jane Spunk. In addition to her clinical work with people and images of all kinds, the trained artist and art therapist uses various languages of visual art in her free art practice as required.

In her current series, published for the first time at Café Zikade, Spunk deals with moving colors and letters. The oscillation between surrealism and abstraction, nature and fantasy, dynamics and statics. The Cologne-based artist gathers inspiration for the exhibited works from aerodynamic formations, which she places in new contexts and resonant spaces using oil paint and stamps from her late grandfather's estate.

Marcus Schorn's artistic work repeatedly draws him into public spaces. Taking art to the people, into their everyday lives, into their neighborhoods, taking away the heaviness and breaking down barriers is the artist's idea and concern. In recent years, sculptures have been created in various districts of the city - for the people and with the people (desired motifs, etc.). Sometimes in prominent places, sometimes a little hidden. If you are attentive and have your eyes open, you can also be surprised and delighted by Marcus' sculptures within the exhibition.

The artists are present during the vernissage and finissage, as well as by appointment. The exhibition is open during the opening hours of the café.
