The film tells the story of fallen wrestling celebrity Nyawunyawu from the town of Kisangani in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He struggles to organize a wrestling tournament in Germany to mark the post-mortem anniversary of a former world light heavyweight champion in 1974: Kelekele Lituka, known as "Godfather", who was paralyzed and visually impaired years before his death and whom he affectionately calls "Lourd". CATCHER celebrated its world premiere at Fespaco 2025, where it won the Samba Felix Ndiaye Award for Best Debut Documentary. The film celebrates its German premiere at the Afrika Film Festival Cologne.
